Building the Backbone for FanKey's Influencer Platform
FanKey is a platform composed of an App (available in both iOS and Android) that one can use to subscribe to an influencer’s content feed and see their videos, photos, posts and special promotional items. An influencer user uploads and prepares their content stream items using a web desktop dashboard, once an Item is pushed to the public stream it uses a combination of technologies including a content distribution network, a payment processor, an authentication provider and additional AWS services ensuring its widespread distribution.
Koobie partnered with Eureka to architect, integrate and develop the backend management dashboard for everything relating to content item streams (aka channels) including the API service to support the Fankey App and automation of video content provisioning and distribution to the Brightcove network and a scheduler to release all content items regardless of type at any date and time.
Project management & tracking
All development efforts were orchestrated using scrum project management methodologies paired with a Jira online board that afforded a by-weekly review of project priorities and gave Koobie an opportunity to get up-to-date information on project status and a voice for roadblock resolutions. Daily development team stand ups kept everybody on the same page and offered a space for team problem solving and early detection of blockers.
